Then why not become a Care Ambassador Volunteer with Clifton Homecare?

Volunteers play a vital role in helping people in the social care sector and we are looking for people in the local community to join us as Care Ambassadors. As a Care Ambassador you will shine a light and promote the social care sector by simply showcasing the important work that care workers do at events such as job fairs, community meetings, networking events and simply just spreading the word!

Based in St Annes, and offering an Outstanding CQC (Care Quality Commission) rated Homecare service to enable people to live independently in their homes across South Fylde, Clifton Homecare are committed to working with clients, their families and the wider community to support our fabulous staff team for the benefit of everyone. Our aim is to tap in to the goodwill and experience in the local area and recruit volunteers who can work alongside us to promote the role of care workers and the important role provided by the social care sector with the ultimate goal of changing the historic scepticism about the Care sector.

Initially, you will begin by shadowing our care team who work with clients in their homes, as well as our admin team in the office to understand the role we play in the both in the community and behind the scenes. By spending time talking to our clients and their families it will make it clear what the care and support that Clifton Homecare provide on a daily basis means to them. This will help to ensure your understanding of the importance of the wider social sector which is currently under significant pressure.

We will make sure that safe and effective work processes are put in place for the Care Ambassador Volunteer programme to take into account the COVID-19 pandemic. This will mean:
✔ COVID vaccination and Influenza vaccines are essential for all volunteers.
✔ Regular testing is essential – lateral flow tests to be completed on the day of meetings/ planned events.
✔ Use of PPE (including type IIR, surgical, fluid resistant face masks when in the workplace and around clients/ staff).
