Lytham Man's Art Tribute

“THANK YOU SOCIAL CARE”

An original artwork by quirky Welsh artist Nathan Wyburn was unveiled at Clifton Homecare’s offices on Friday 16th December and marked a poignant and emotional tribute to care workers.

Nathan Wyburn has created portraits of scores of celebrities, from Madonna and Tina Turner to Marcus Rashford and the Queen, using unusual materials (think butter, marmite on toast, pizza, chocolate, coffee and lipstick).

Now a new artwork, commissioned by Lytham resident Bill Hannigan, pays tribute to the social care staff who worked so tirelessly, and in some cases lost their lives, during the pandemic. The huge piece is a collage made from hundreds of individual photos of care home residents and care staff, from all over the UK.

Fylde MP Mark Menzies, unveiled the work at Clifton Homecare, and it now hangs proudly in their offices in Orchard Road.
